Our October SO pick hails from the town of La Plata in the Huila region of Colombia. Huila's incredible geography and climate help farmers produce some of the world's best specialty coffee. This micro-lot was grown at the Diamante Farm, owned by Diego Campos and Derlin Roa. These two have some serious coffee chops: Diego has been working in the coffee industry since 2008 and is a National Barista Champion and Derlin is a National AeroPress Champion and the daughter of Don Elias, a famous Colombian coffee producer.
This medium-bodied coffee will light up your tastebuds! It reminds me of juicy ruby red grapefruit slathered in honey.
