Ride Burns is an idea, one that was timely and has become a valuable part of the Burns Lake community.

Officially we're a Not For Profit Society, registered with the Province of BC, but we're so much more than that!

Our mission statement : "Burns Lake is a world class mountain biking destination, and a vibrant mountain biking community".

Everything we do in one way or another supports that two part statement and we believe with the growth of the sport locally and regionally, and the press and visitors we receive we know the statement holds true.

The Skeena Salmon Arts Festival Society is a First Nation’s Arts Collective bringing public art to Northwest BC.  We are a registered non-profit society in good standing, with a proven track record in delivering public art projects.

The society aims to celebrate the importance of salmon as a unifying symbol of the people who make northwestern British Columbia their homes. We gratefully acknowledge that the society’s business is based out of Terrace, BC located on the traditional territory of the Ts'msyen people of Kitsumkalum and Kitselas.

The Skeena Climbing Society is a run by a pretty rad group of volunteers. Their mission is:

1) To promote recreational climbing in northwest BC.
2) To promote safety in climbing activities.
3) To submit recommendations to the government and private agencies in respect to the preservation, development and extension of climbing recreational areas.
4) To promote and preserve access to recreational climbing in northwest BC.
They host weekly “Caledonia Climb Nights” during the spring and winter months at a small climbing wall in a local school. For the summer months they head outdoors and host community events and workshops.
